Renowned Nigerian singer Tiwatope Balogun-Savage, widely known as Tiwa Savage, has suggested that her next album could mark her retirement from music.
In an Instagram story posted on Saturday morning, Tiwa shared her feelings of exhaustion, writing, “This might be my last studio album. I am tired, I don try.” However, she did not disclose the album’s title or its release date.
Tiwa Savage rose to prominence with her 2010 breakout single, Kele Kele Love, solidifying her position as one of Nigeria’s most influential music icons.
In 2018, she made history as the first female African artist to win the Best African Act award at the MTV Europe Music Awards. The following year, she signed a groundbreaking deal with Universal Music Group, further cementing her international appeal.
Fans await further details about the album, which could signify the end of an era for the celebrated musician.
