Enyimba FC, one of Nigeria’s most successful football clubs, has confirmed the departure of its Head Coach, Yemi Olarenwaju, following a challenging period of poor performances.
The announcement, shared on the club’s social media platforms on Saturday, cited a disappointing streak of nine consecutive winless matches in the Nigerian Premier Football League (NPFL) as the reason for the decision.
“Enyimba FC can confirm that it has parted ways with Head Coach Yemi Olarenwaju,” the statement read. The club expressed gratitude for Olarenwaju’s contributions and extended best wishes for his future endeavors.
Details regarding Olarenwaju’s replacement have yet to be announced. This development comes as Enyimba seeks to reinvigorate its campaign in the league.
