Doma, Nasarawa State — The Nigerian Army has concluded plans to establish a specialized military training school in Nasarawa State to bolster troop capacity and sustain operational efficiency.
The Chief of Army Staff, Lieutenant General Olafemi Oluyede, disclosed this during a visit to the 4 Special Forces Command in Doma, marking his first official engagement with the unit since his confirmation by President Bola Tinubu in December 2024.
During the visit, General Oluyede inspected key military infrastructure, engaged with troops, and reiterated the Army’s commitment to personnel development and strategic infrastructure improvements in response to evolving security threats.
He reaffirmed the military’s intensified efforts to combat banditry, kidnapping, and other security challenges threatening national stability. Urging troops to remain professional, resilient, and dedicated to safeguarding Nigeria’s territorial integrity, he assured them that their welfare remains a top priority.
As part of the engagement, the Army Chief inaugurated critical projects, including the official residence of the 404 Engineers Brigade Regimental Sergeant Major and the General Taoreed Abiodun Lagbaja House for a stand-by platoon.
