Yobe State Governor, Gov. Mai Mala Buni, has given the green light for the disbursement of a sum of N667 million to 475 pensioners spanning all 17 local government areas within the state.
This announcement was made through a press release from the Director-General of Press and Media Affairs, Alhaji Mamman Mohammed, in Damaturu on Friday.
Mohammed conveyed that this approval comes on the heels of a meticulous screening and validation process undertaken by a committee established earlier by the state government.
He went on to disclose, “The committee meticulously examined and confirmed a total of 475 recipients. We have thoughtfully compiled the lists of awardees, categorizing them by local government areas, and accounting for both living and deceased pensioners.”
