President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has congratulated Alhassan Yahaya on his election as the new President of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ) during the 8th Triennial National Delegates Conference held in Owerri, Imo State, on November 27, 2024.
In a statement issued by his spokesman, Bayo Onanuga, President Tinubu also extended his felicitations to other members of the NUJ’s newly elected executive committee. He commended the Union for conducting a peaceful and orderly election, describing it as a reflection of their commitment to professionalism.
The President noted that Yahaya’s landslide victory signified the trust and confidence reposed in him by NUJ members.
