Birmingham, England — Marcus Rashford is scheduled for a medical at Aston Villa today as he edges closer to finalizing his loan move from Manchester United.
According to Daily Mail, the agreement will initially be a loan until the season’s end, with an option for Villa to secure Rashford permanently for a pre-agreed fee of £40 million.
Terms and Wages
Rashford has already reached personal terms with Villa for the duration of the loan. The England international, who currently earns approximately £350,000 weekly at Old Trafford, is contracted until June 2028. Aston Villa will reportedly cover 70 percent of his wages, with additional bonuses linked to European progress and Champions League qualification.
Rashford, 27, has been absent from United’s lineup since mid-December following disagreements with head coach Ruben Amorim, who raised concerns about the player’s lifestyle and commitment. The fallout has seen Rashford miss the last 12 matches.
Having joined United’s academy at the age of eight, Rashford has never played senior club football elsewhere, making this move a significant chapter in his career.
