Onitsha, Nigeria — Justice Azuka, the lawmaker representing Onitsha North State Constituency in the Anambra State House of Assembly, has been found dead days after his abduction.
Azuka was kidnapped on December 24, 2024, along Ugwunabankpa Road, Inland Town, Onitsha. His body was discovered by a joint security task force, confirming fears about his fate.
Speaking on the development, Anambra State Police Public Relations Officer, SP Tochukwu Ikenga, stated that officers were in the process of retrieving the remains.
“Our men are currently recovering the corpse, and they should be heading to the State Police Headquarters in Amawbia,” he said.
Authorities have yet to disclose any suspects or the motive behind Azuka’s abduction and killing. Investigations are ongoing.
