Chelsea Set to Intensify Push for Super Eagles Star Boniface

London, England  —   Chelsea are preparing a strong bid to secure the services of Bayer Leverkusen’s Nigerian forward, Victor Boniface, ahead of the summer transfer window.

The Premier League club is actively seeking anew striker to strengthen their attack, providing competition for Nicolas Jackson and Marc Guiu.  The Blues’ need for reinforcement has intensified following injuries to both Jackson and Guiu, forcing manager Enzo Maresca to deploy Pedro Neto as a makeshift forward in recent matches.

According to a report from CaughtOffside via TEAMtalk, Chelsea are making a determined effort to land Boniface, despite growing competition from other European clubs. Manchester United, Arsenal, and Newcastle United are also closely monitoring the Nigerian striker’s situation, with Newcastle considering him as a potential replacement if Alexander Isak departs.

Chelsea are reportedly aware of these rival interests and are planning discussions with both the 24-year-old forward and Bayer Leverkusen in the coming weeks. Boniface is currently valued at around €70 million, as previous reports have indicated.

The prolific forward has been in impressive form this season, scoring seven goals in 14 Bundesliga appearances and 10 goals across 20 matches in all competitions for the newly crowned German champions.

Boniface was also included in Super Eagles head coach Éric Sékou Chelle’s 39-man provisional squad for Nigeria’s upcoming 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers against Rwanda and Zimbabwe.
