Valencia, Spain — Super Eagles striker Umar Sadiq is poised to join Valencia on loan from Real Sociedad during the January transfer window.
The move, confirmed by football transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, includes a buy-option clause for the 27-year-old forward.
“Medical today for Umar Sadiq as new Valencia player, joining on loan with a buy-option clause from Real Sociedad. Deal sealed,” Romano tweeted on Friday.
Sadiq, who has struggled for consistent playing time at Real Sociedad since his transfer from Almería, will undergo his medical in Valencia today.
Despite links to Sevilla and Getafe last summer, the forward has now opted for Valencia in hopes of reviving his career.
Sadiq has recorded four goals and two assists in 50 appearances across all competitions for Real Sociedad, a tally he hopes to improve with this new opportunity.
