Nigeria: The Katsina State Government has announced the passing of Hajiya Safara’u Umaru Baribari, the mother of Governor Dikko Umaru Radda, at the age of 93.
According to a statement by the Governor’s Chief Press Secretary, Malam Ibrahim Kaula Mohammed, Hajiya Safara’u passed away on Sunday night.
Hajiya Safara’u was a highly respected figure, known for her strength, wisdom, and contributions to her community. She was the mother of several notable figures, including Alhaji Kabir Umar Radda, the current Village Head of Radda, and Hajiya Hauwa Umar Radda, a former wife of the late President Umaru Musa Yar’Adua.
The state government has extended its condolences to the family and prayed for her eternal peace. Her funeral is scheduled to hold at 4:00 pm on Sunday in Radda Village, Charanchi Local Government Area of Katsina State.
