Rema Donates N105 Million to Christ Embassy Church in Benin

Afrobeat star, Rema, has made a generous donation of N105 million to Christ Embassy Church in Benin, Edo State, during a Sunday service. The donation reflects his deep appreciation for the church’s unwavering support and guidance throughout his journey.

The singer allocated N40 million towards the church’s infrastructure, N20 million to support the publication of Rhapsody of Realities, and N25 million to the development of the teen church. Additionally, Rema pledged N20 million for widows within the congregation.

In a video shared online, Rema revealed that the church provided significant support to his family during a challenging period following his father’s death, when they felt abandoned and directionless.

This heartfelt gesture comes on the heels of Rema’s return to his hometown for a homecoming concert, where he was joined by music producer Collins Michael and the Mavin crew. During his visit, Rema also entertained the Oba of Benin at his palace, where he was presented with a royal plaque in recognition of his achievements.

Reports highlight the pivotal role the church has played in Rema’s spiritual growth, offering him the guidance and support he needed throughout his career. Edo State Governor, Godwin Obaseki, also expressed his pride in Rema’s accomplishments, noting that the artist had performed behind the scenes at his inauguration in 2016. Today, Rema’s music has achieved global recognition, earning him multiple awards.
