Hon. Isaac Omodewu, the Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Oyo State, has died at the age of 61. He passed away on Sunday, August 18th, 2024, in the United States.
Although the specific circumstances surrounding his death have not been disclosed, there had been persistent rumors within the party regarding his health. It is reported that Omodewu had been seriously ill and was admitted to a hospital in the U.S. late last year.
Wale Sadare, the Publicity Secretary of the APC in Oyo State, confirmed Omodewu’s passing during a phone interview with Channels Television on Monday. Sadare stated that the APC Chairman died early Sunday morning from an undisclosed illness.
He also noted that the family has not yet made burial arrangements. Omodewu’s death is a significant loss for the APC in Oyo State, as party members mourn the departure of their leader.
