NSCDC assigns 984 personnel for Enugu local government elections.

The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) has announced the deployment of 984 personnel for the Enugu State local government election scheduled for Saturday.

The Commandant of NSCDC Enugu State Command, Cyprian Otoibhi, revealed this information to journalists on Friday in Enugu.

Otoibhi emphasized the importance of the deployed officers and men conducting themselves with credibility and adhering to the principles of the Corps during the election.

He stressed that the personnel have been instructed to collaborate effectively with other security agencies to ensure a peaceful and transparent election process.

The NSCDC Commandant mentioned that thorough briefings have been provided to the officers and men regarding their duties and responsibilities.

They have also been reminded of the necessity to maintain professionalism and integrity throughout the electoral exercise.

Otoibhi encouraged party officials, supporters, and voters to abide by the law and share actionable intelligence with security agents to safeguard election officials, electoral materials, and facilitate a fair process.

He extended the best wishes of the NSCDC Commandant General, Ahmed Audi, to all NSCDC personnel and other security agencies participating in election duties.

Otoibhi urged all NSCDC members to carry out their responsibilities with the utmost dedication and commitment to ensure a successful and orderly election.
