The Nigerians in Diaspora Commission (NIDCOM) has identified a woman allegedly threatening to harm Nigerians in Canada. The chairperson of the commission, Abike Dabiri, revealed that the woman, Amaka Patience Sunnberger, is the individual behind the viral threats circulating online.
Dabiri shared this information in a post on X, stating, “This is the picture of the lady behind the voice. Amaka Patience Sunnberger. She has deleted her TikTok account, and a group of Nigerians in Canada are reporting her officially to the relevant authorities in Canada. Thanks for alerting everyone.”
In the viral video, Sunnberger was heard making anti-Yoruba statements during a TikTok virtual meeting, encouraging others to poison Yorubas and Benins.
“Record me very well; it’s time to start poisoning the Yoruba and the Benin. Put poison in their food at work, poison their water, and let them die one by one,” Sunnberger said in the video.
She also urged Igbos to adopt a “heart of wickedness,” claiming that they had been too passive, and further incited violence against Yoruba and Benin people.
