Manchester United forward Marcus Rashford has dismissed recent reports suggesting he is seeking new representation to engineer a transfer away from Old Trafford. Rashford described the claims as “ridiculous” in a statement on social media.
The speculation arose after reports alleged that the 26-year-old had met with a major sports agency to explore transfer options. Rashford, however, firmly denied the allegations.
“There’s been a lot of false stories written over the past few weeks, but this is getting ridiculous. I’ve never met with any agency and don’t have any plans to,” he wrote on Instagram.
The rumors come amidst a challenging season for the England international, who has struggled to secure a spot under Manchester United’s new manager, Ruben Amorim. Rashford has been absent from four consecutive matchday squads and was an unused substitute in Monday’s 1-0 defeat to Newcastle.
Adding to the speculation, Rashford hinted at being open to a “new challenge” during an interview last month. The forward, who has managed only four Premier League goals this season, has struggled to replicate the form that once made him a key player for the club.
Clubs like Paris Saint-Germain and Chelsea are reportedly monitoring the situation, but Rashford remains represented by his brother and long-time agent, Dwaine Maynard. Despite the rumors, Rashford has reiterated his focus on his football career, dismissing the reports as baseless.
