Chief Victor Bala Kona, the former Chairman of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in Taraba State, has passed away after a brief illness. He was reportedly said to have died in Abuja on Sunday.
Governor Agbu Kefas of Taraba State expressed his condolences, describing Bala Kona as a political icon, a father figure, and a family man. The PDP in the state also mourned his loss, acknowledging his significant contributions to the party’s growth and leadership. Bala Kona served as the Chairman of the PDP in Taraba State from March 2012 to August 2020 and played a vital role in shaping the party’s trajectory in the region.
