Former Manchester United captain Gary Neville has suggested that Marcus Rashford may depart the club in January, following a recent absence from the matchday squad for the last three games.
Neville drew comparisons to Jadon Sancho’s move to Chelsea, highlighting how some players who struggled at United found success elsewhere. He also mentioned Scott McTominay’s move to Napoli as an example of a player flourishing after leaving the club.
“Marcus may think it’s the right time for him to move on as well,” Neville said. “It’s becoming a pattern, and after being left out for three consecutive games, something is clearly wrong.”
Neville expressed concern over Rashford’s future at United, stating that it does not bode well for either party. “It’s getting to the point where a move seems inevitable. It’s likely to be a situation that benefits both Marcus and the club,” he added.
