EFCC Arrests 105 Suspects in Abuja for Internet Fraud

Nigeria _ The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has apprehended 105 individuals, including four Chinese nationals, for alleged internet fraud in Abuja

The suspects, comprising 67 males and 38 females, were arrested on January 9, 2025, at a business apartment in the Gudu district of the Federal Capital Territory. They were involved in a hotel review job scam targeting European victims. The EFCC has assured that investigations are ongoing, and the suspects will be charged to court upon conclusion. This latest operation follows a massive raid in Lagos, where 792 suspects were arrested in connection with cryptocurrency and romance scam networks.
