Lagos, Nigeria — Super Eagles head coach, Éric Sékou Chelle, has announced a final 23-man squad for Nigeria’s upcoming 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers against Rwanda and Zimbabwe.
The squad features a blend of experienced and emerging talents, with Stanley Nwabali, Kayode Bankole, and Amas Obasogie selected as goalkeepers. In defense, William Troost-Ekong, Calvin Bassey, Olaoluwa Aina, and Bright Osayi-Samuel made the cut, alongside Czech Republic-based Igoh Ogbu.
Midfield options include Wilfred Ndidi, Alex Iwobi, Raphael Onyedika, Alhassan Yusuf, Joseph Aribo, and home-based talent Papa Daniel Mustapha. In attack, Victor Osimhen, Ademola Lookman, Samuel Chukwueze, Simon Moses, and Sadiq Umar headline the squad, with Tolu Arokodare also earning a spot.
Nigeria is set to face Group C leaders Rwanda in Kigali on March 21, before hosting Zimbabwe’s Warriors at the Godswill Akpabio Stadium, Uyo, on March 25.
