A Federal Capital Territory High Court, Abuja, has ordered the Department of State Services (DSS) to charge the suspended Central Bank Of Nigeria Governor, Godwin Emefiele to court within one week or release him.
The court gave the order during hearing in the fundamental human rights suit Emefiele filed to challenge his arrest and detention by the Department of State Services.
Shortly after President Bola Tinubu suspended him, the DSS had on June 10 arrested the apex bank governor who has been in detention since then.
Emefiele, in the suit filed through his lawyer, Joseph Daudu (SAN), is alleging a violation of his human rights.
