Abuja, Nigeria — The All Progressives Congress (APC) has officially released its timetable and schedule of activities ahead of the November 8, 2025, Anambra governorship election.
The announcement was made in a statement shared on the party’s official X (formerly Twitter) handle, detailing key dates and guidelines for aspirants seeking the party’s ticket.
According to the schedule, the sale of expression of interest, nomination, and delegate forms will commence on Monday, February 10, and run until February 25. Aspirants who successfully obtain the forms will undergo screening on March 7, with results published on March 10. A screening appeal process is set to take place between March 11 and 12.
The party’s primary election is scheduled for April 5, followed by an appeal process between April 6 and 7. Additionally, a Congress to ratify the gubernatorial primary election results will hold on April 6.
Regarding financial requirements, the APC has pegged the expression of interest form at ₦10 million and the nomination form at ₦40 million, bringing the total cost for aspirants to ₦50 million. The delegate form is priced at ₦5,000.
In a bid to promote inclusivity, the party has announced that female aspirants and persons with disabilities will be required to purchase only the expression of interest form, as the nomination form is free. Meanwhile, aspirants aged between 25 and 40 years will receive a 50% discount on the nomination form, provided they purchase the expression of interest form.
The party emphasized that the timetable aligns with the provisions of the Nigerian Constitution and the Electoral Act, ensuring a transparent and structured selection process.
The statement reaffirmed APC’s commitment to a fair and democratic primary election, urging all aspirants to adhere to the outlined procedures.
