Sevilla, Spain. — Former Super Eagles striker, Victor Agali, has expressed confidence in Nigerian forward Adams Akor’s potential to thrive at Sevilla following his recent transfer.
Adams officially joined the Spanish club on Monday, signing a four-year deal from Montpellier.
Speaking with newsmen, Agali highlighted Akor’s promising abilities and predicted a successful stint at Sevilla.
“His time in France shouldn’t be seen as a failure. He wasn’t a disappointment at Montpellier, not at all. But the expectations when he signed were very high. He’s a player with immense talent,” Agali remarked.
He explained that Ligue 1’s physical nature differs from the more fluid style of play found in Spain, Germany, or England, adding that this change in environment could be pivotal for Adams.
“A new club means a different playing style, and that matters a lot for a footballer. I believe this move will help him regain his confidence and rediscover his love for scoring goals. This is undoubtedly the right decision for him,” Agali asserted.
Adams’ transfer to Sevilla has already sparked enthusiasm among fans, who are eager to see him make a significant impact in La Liga.
