LAGOS –A tanker explosion on Otedola Bridge, Lagos, triggered a massive fire on Tuesday night, causing panic among motorists and commuters.
According to eyewitnesses, the explosion occurred around 8 p.m., after a tanker accident led to a fire that spread rapidly across the bridge. Videos shared online show thick black smoke rising into the night sky.

Emergency Response
The Lagos State Emergency Management Agency (LASEMA) has deployed its Tiger Response Team to the scene. Dr. Femi Oke-Osanyintolu, LASEMA’s Permanent Secretary, confirmed that emergency responders are working to contain the situation.
Authorities have cordoned off the road, urging motorists to take alternative routes to avoid delays and potential hazards.
