American actor Angus Cloud, who gained fame for his role as Fezco “Fez” O’Neill, the drug dealer in the popular HBO series Euphoria, passed away at the age of 25. His family confirmed the news in a statement issued on Monday.
Details about the cause of his death have not been disclosed yet.
Tragically, Angus Cloud had recently lost his father, and he had been struggling with this loss.
The statement released by his family emphasised that Angus had been open about his battles with mental health, and they hoped that his passing would serve as a reminder to others that they are not alone in their struggles and should not suffer in silence.
Both HBO and the Euphoria family expressed deep sorrow upon learning about Angus Cloud’s passing. They described him as immensely talented and a beloved member of the HBO and Euphoria community.
Sam Levinson, the creator of Euphoria, Sydney Martin, the model who was rumored to be in an on-off relationship with Cloud, Javon Walton, Cloud’s co-star who played his adoptive brother in the show, and California congresswoman Barbara Lee, among others, have all paid tribute and expressed their grief over the loss of the young actor.
