Ondo state, Nigeria _The Ondo State Government has announced the death of its Secretary to the State Government (SSG), Tayo Oluwatuyi, who passed away on January 4, 2025.
According to a statement by the Commissioner for Information and Orientation, Otunba ‘Wale Akinlosotu, Oluwatuyi was involved in a fatal car accident on December 15, 2024, while traveling to Ibadan, and had been hospitalized since then . Oluwatuyi was a dedicated public servant who played a crucial role in the state government, working closely with the Governor and other top officials. He served in various capacities, including as Chairman of Akure South local government, Commissioner, and twice as SSG. The Ondo State Government has extended its deepest condolences to the Oluwatuyi family, friends, and associates during this difficult time .
