Lieutenant General Oluyede made this pledge while appearing before the House of Representatives Joint Committee on Defence and Army for a screening session at the National Assembly Complex in Abuja.
During his address, the Acting Army Chief emphasized the need for a collaborative approach to addressing the country’s security challenges. He called for strengthened bilateral and multilateral partnerships with neighboring countries and enhanced cooperation among military services and security agencies.
In his remarks, the Chairman of the House Committee on Defence, Babajimi Benson, highlighted the military’s decade-long leadership in tackling Nigeria’s security issues. He assured that the House remains committed to providing the necessary legal frameworks, advocating for adequate funding, and ensuring transparency through monitoring the implementation of military appropriations.
