Five teams have earned promotion from the Nationwide League One (NLO) to the Nigeria National League (NNL), DAILY POST reports.
The promoted teams are Basira FC, Barau FC, Magic Stars, Igbajo United, and Emalex FC.
Basira FC secured their promotion by defeating Family Worship FC 4-3 on penalties in their playoff match at the New Jos Stadium.
At the Abuja center, Barau FC triumphed over Yoca Crocodile 3-2 on penalties, following a 1-1 draw in regulation time.
Magic Stars FC clinched their spot with a 5-3 penalty shootout victory against Ojodu City FC in a tightly contested match at the Lekan Salami Stadium, Lagos.
Igbajo United and Emalex FC also advanced to the NNL after winning their respective matches against FC Ebedei and Cynosure FC, with scores of 5-4 and 4-2 on penalties. These matches were held at the Samuel Ogbemudia Stadium, Benin City.
The remaining playoff matches are scheduled to be decided on Monday (today) at various centers.
