Benin City, Nigeria — Renowned Nigerian musician, Innocent Idibia, popularly known as 2Baba, has confirmed his relationship with Edo State lawmaker, Natasha Osawaru, just weeks after announcing his separation from actress Annie Macaulay-Idibia.
The singer’s unexpected appearance at the Edo State House of Assembly during a plenary session on Monday sparked speculation among fans and observers. His visit fueled widespread reactions, with many questioning the nature of his relationship with the Deputy Majority Leader of the House.
Addressing the viral reports, 2Baba dismissed allegations surrounding his newfound romance, insisting that people were free to speculate. In a video shared on Tuesday night, the music icon openly professed his love for Osawaru, stating that he planned to marry her and that Annie was fully aware of the situation.
“To whom it may concern, it’s yes, I am speaking my truth. Feel free to keep alleging whatever you like; we will all be fine. Natasha is an intelligent and incredible woman who has been unfairly labelled a home wrecker. I have seen all the false narratives and malicious rumors, but let me be clear, she had nothing to do with my separation from Annie. Yes, I love her, she’s amazing, and I want to marry her,” he declared.
Like his initial divorce announcement, the singer later deleted the video in which he affirmed his intention to marry Osawaru. However, the revelation has continued to generate mixed reactions across social media and entertainment circles.
