London, England — Arsenal defender Oleksandr Zinchenko has acknowledged that his long-term future at the Emirates remains unclear, as he awaits any potential contract developments from the club.
The Ukrainian international, whose current deal runs until the end of next season, has yet to receive an offer for an extension. Speaking in an interview published on Arsenal’s official website, Zinchenko expressed his commitment to the team while admitting that he is uncertain about what lies ahead.
“To be honest, I don’t know yet,” Zinchenko stated when asked about his future. _“If I had an answer, I would share it, but there’s still a long way to go before the season ends.”
The versatile full-back emphasized the significance of the final stretch of the campaign, describing it as a period where every match carries the weight of a final.
“Football is unpredictable. At this stage of the season, every game is crucial, and anything can happen,” he added.
Despite the uncertainty surrounding his contract, Zinchenko reaffirmed his passion for the club and his readiness to contribute whenever called upon by manager Mikel Arteta.
“I’m genuinely happy to be part of this incredible team,” he said. “It’s a privilege to be surrounded by such fantastic players and staff.”
The former Manchester City star also underlined his willingness to adapt, stating that he is prepared to play in any role needed or even offer support from the sidelines.
“Whenever the manager or team needs me, I’m ready. No matter the position, no matter the circumstances, I’ll always give my best,” he continued. “Even if I’m in the stands, I’ll still try to push the team forward—whether it’s offering words of encouragement, a hug, or anything that helps.”
With the Premier League title race intensifying, Zinchenko remains focused on delivering for the Gunners as they push for silverware, even as questions linger over his long-term future.
