Nigeria _ The Yobe State Police Command has apprehended two individuals, Bawa Sa’idu, 22, and Weti Saleh, 25, for allegedly conspiring to gang-rape a 12-year-old girl in Jalingo village, Tarmuwa Local Government Area.
The suspects were arrested on February 15, following complaints from the victim’s relatives, and have been transferred to the State Criminal Investigation Department for further investigation. The victim is currently receiving medical attention. In separate incidents, police rescued a 15-year-old kidnap victim and apprehended individuals concealing stolen property in Damaturu, as part of intensified security measures in the state capital.
