Wizkid’s ‘Kese’ Sets Spotify Streaming Records

Nigerian music icon Ayodeji Balogun, popularly known as Wizkid, has shattered multiple streaming records with his latest single, Kese (Dance).  

The track, released ahead of his upcoming album Morayo, amassed 1.57 million streams on Spotify Nigeria in its first day, surpassing the previous record of 1.016 million streams held by his collaboration with Brent Faiyaz on Piece Of My Heart.

On a global scale, Kese also set a new benchmark as the most streamed African song on Spotify in its opening day, garnering 2.753 million streams.

The single serves as a lead track from Wizkid’s forthcoming album, Morayo, dedicated to his late mother, Mrs. Morayo Jane Balogun. The album is set for release later this month and is already generating significant anticipation within the music industry.
