Wike vows to demolish unapproved structures after building collapse

Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, visited the site of a collapsed building in Garki II, Abuja. Speaking to journalists at the scene, Wike emphasized his commitment to enforcing proper building regulations within the nation’s capital.

He reiterated that buildings without proper approval would be demolished, and he clarified that the intention behind such actions was not to show hostility towards anyone, but rather to ensure that proper procedures are followed in construction projects. Wike emphasized the importance of adhering to building regulations to maintain safety and prevent incidents like building collapses.
