In the early hours of Sunday, Ukrainian boxer Oleksandr Usyk cemented his dominance in the heavyweight division, defeating Britain’s Tyson Fury for the second time to retain his status as the undisputed champion.
The bout, held at the Kingdom Arena in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, ended in a unanimous decision after 12 intense rounds, with all three judges scoring the fight 116-112 in Usyk’s favor.
The victory allowed Usyk to hold on to his World Boxing Organization (WBO), World Boxing Council (WBC), and World Boxing Association (WBA) titles.
This rematch follows their first encounter in May, where Usyk narrowly defeated Fury via a split decision. However, Sunday’s decisive win solidifies Usyk’s undefeated record and his position as the reigning king of the heavyweight division.
