US Military sent Airstrikes Against ISIS in Somalia — Trump

Washington D.C., USA  —  The United States military has launched precision airstrikes in Somalia targeting key members of the Islamic State (ISIS) terrorist group, according to President Donald Trump.

In a social media statement, Trump disclosed that the strikes specifically aimed at a senior ISIS attack planner along with other militants under his command.

“This morning, I ordered precision military airstrikes on the senior ISIS attack planner and other terrorists he recruited and led in Somalia,” Trump revealed. “These killers, who were found hiding in caves, posed a serious threat to the United States and our allies.”

The president emphasized that the operation successfully eliminated numerous terrorists without causing civilian casualties. However, no specific details on the number of fatalities were provided.

It was further disclosed that the military had been tracking the planner for several years as part of ongoing counterterrorism efforts.

CNN reported that this marks the first military strike authorized by Trump during his second term in office.

While the White House refrained from making an official statement beyond Trump’s post, a senior official mentioned that the Department of Defense would share additional information when deemed appropriate.
