The University of Ilorin (UNILORIN), Kwara State, has announced the expulsion and rustication of a total of 19 students, marking a stern response to misconduct within its student body.

According to Kunle Akogun, the Director of Corporate Affairs at the institution, the decision, spearheaded by Vice Chancellor Wahab Egbewole, follows thorough deliberations by the Students’ Disciplinary Committee during its 220th/221st session.

The punitive measures, which range from rustication for one semester to expulsion, were meted out to the erring students for various transgressions, including but not limited to misconduct, theft, examination malpractice, physical assault against a fellow student, and involvement in admission irregularities.

This resolute action underscores UNILORIN’s unwavering stance against any form of misconduct or breach of academic integrity within its campus community, reaffirming its commitment to upholding the highest standards of academic excellence and moral rectitude.
