UCL: Dembele Doubtful for Second Leg Due to Hamstring injury

Paris, France —  Paris Saint-Germain’s star winger, Ousmane Dembélé, is facing a race against time to be fit for the crucial UEFA Champions League semi-final second leg against Arsenal, following a suspected hamstring injury.

Dembélé, who stunned the Emirates Stadium with a brilliant fourth-minute goal on Tuesday night, may now miss the decisive return fixture in Paris. The early strike marked his 32nd goal of the season and proved decisive in PSG’s 1-0 victory, putting them in a favorable position heading into the second leg.

The French international was substituted in the second half for Bradley Barcola. While he showed no visible signs of pain as he exited the pitch, PSG later confirmed that his substitution was not tactical but due to a fitness issue.

According to RMC Sport, Dembélé’s condition will be evaluated closely in the coming days as the club’s medical team monitors his recovery. His availability remains uncertain.

Addressing the situation after the match, PSG head coach Luis Enrique expressed both satisfaction with his team’s performance and concern over Dembélé’s fitness. “At the moment, we don’t know much. Medical assessments are scheduled for tomorrow,” Enrique said during the post-match press briefing.

He attempted to downplay the severity of the injury, describing it as “quite minor,” but acknowledged that Dembélé is now a serious doubt for the return clash.

Speaking to Canal+, Enrique remained optimistic: “We’re a united squad. If Ousmane is available, great. If not, we’ll still show our collective strength.”

As anticipation builds for the second leg at Parc des Princes, PSG’s medical updates on Dembélé will be closely watched, with fans and analysts aware of the pivotal role he plays in the team’s attacking setup.
