Two brothers tragically lost their lives when a large mass of earth collapsed at an artisanal mining site in Kakaki village, located within Paikoro Local Government Area of Niger State.
According to reports, the siblings, Zubairu and Sadiq Ibrahim, were at the site to extract gold in an effort to meet a pressing financial obligation. Zubairu, 25, and Sadiq, 20, had been involved in gold mining at a tributary near the village for some time before the fatal accident occurred.
