Tribunal Court set to deliver judgment on Plateau governorship election

The Governorship Election Petitions Tribunal Court sitting in Plateau State is preparing to announce on Friday its verdict on the legal challenge against the election of the Peoples Democratic Party’s Caleb Mutfwang as governor.

The petition was filed by Nentawe Yilwatda, the All Progressives Congress’s candidate.

PDP’S Mutfwang was declared the winner of the March 18th poll by the Independent National Electoral Commission, with 525,299 votes compared to Yilwatda’s 481,370 votes.

The PDP won in 10 local government areas, while the APC had the highest votes in seven LGAs.
