Tinubu’s leadership brings major change to Abuja—says Wike.

Abuja, NigeriaThe Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Minister, Nyesom Wike, has lauded President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for driving remarkable infrastructural development across Abuja, stating that the capital has been significantly transformed under his administration.

Wike made this known during a project inspection tour on Saturday to the Wassa and Gishiri communities. These projects are scheduled for commissioning as part of events marking President Tinubu’s second year in office.

He expressed confidence that the progress made so far is visible to all residents, emphasizing that the Tinubu administration has delivered tangible results. “Everyone can see that Abuja has changed. The kind of leadership President Tinubu offers is what Nigeria truly needs,” Wike said.

The minister praised Tinubu’s leadership style, noting that it has brought renewed hope and happiness to the people. He emphasized that real transformation is only possible with the right leadership, adding, “We are seeing the dividends of democracy, and we’re proud to be part of this journey.”

He specifically commended contractors such as CGC and Julius Berger for their dedication to project timelines, noting that several road projects—including the Gishiri and OSEX II to Wassa Junction roads—are on track for completion and commissioning.

Wike also highlighted upcoming developments, including the inauguration of multiple road projects, the International Conference Centre, and the Abuja Greater Water Project. He assured residents that water supply would be extended to satellite towns such as Bwari, Karu, and Kubwa, while improvements in school infrastructure and city-wide security were also underway.

The minister concluded with a pledge that the FCT Administration remains committed to enhancing the quality of life for all Abuja residents.
