Lafia, Nasarawa State — President Bola Tinubu has lauded Governor Abdullahi Sule for delivering six and a half years of impactful and transformative leadership in Nasarawa State.
Making the remarks at the Turbaning Ceremony of Senator Ahmed Aliyu Wadada, who represents Nasarawa West Senatorial Zone and was honored as Magajin Dangin Lafia, President Tinubu commended the governor’s visible achievements in infrastructure development, governance, and social progress across the state.
Represented by the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Senator George Akume, the President highlighted how Governor Sule has fulfilled the expectations of the people, driving significant positive change.
Emphasizing the federal government’s dedication to fostering peace and unity nationwide, particularly in regions grappling with insecurity, Tinubu reaffirmed ongoing commitments to national stability.
Deputy Senate President Barau Jibrin also praised Governor Sule’s administration for transforming Lafia, while describing Senator Wadada as a leader deeply committed to the well-being of his constituents.
Governor Sule characterized the occasion as one of national importance that unified key stakeholders in a demonstration of solidarity.
Senator Wadada expressed gratitude for the honor and the presence of prominent dignitaries, including Governors Bala Mohammed (Bauchi), Umar Bago (Niger), and deputy governors from Bauchi and Adamawa states.
The Emir of Lafia, Justice Sidi Bage (Rtd), shared reflections on the longstanding relationship between his family and Senator Wadada’s, adding a personal and heartfelt dimension to the ceremony.
