Tinubu praised for appointing Badaru as Defence Minister

The newly appointed Minister of Defence, Alhaji Mohammed Badaru Abubakar, is being praised for his track record in public service despite not having a military background. Hon. Habibu Bulama Bizi, Convener General of the Badaru Support Group, highlighted Badaru’s achievements as the former Governor of Jigawa State and his experience in various leadership roles. He emphasized that the role of a Defence Minister involves policy-making and supervision, which Badaru is well-equipped to handle. With his leadership experience, financial expertise, and background as a business guru, Badaru is expected to contribute positively to the Ministry of Defence and enhance the nation’s security efforts. The supporter believes that Badaru’s performance will exceed expectations, just as past Defence Ministers with different backgrounds have proven their capabilities.
