Abuja, Nigeria — President Bola Ahmed Tinubu on Sunday joined Muslim faithfuls at the National Eid Prayer Ground along Airport Road in Abuja to observe the Eid-el-Fitr prayers that marks the end of the holy month of Ramadan.
Tinubu, who arrived at minutes before 9am was received by top government officials, religious leaders, and other dignitaries.
The President together with his Vice Kashim Shettima, the Deputy Senate President, Barau Jibrin, and the National Security Adviser, Nuhu Ribadu, were at the prayer ground.
On Sunday afternoon, the President will, for the first time since assuming office, receive guests at the State House for lunch to mark Eid-el-Fitr.
He has observed previous celebrations at his Ikoyi home in Lagos.
