Abeokuta, Nigeria — President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has extended warm felicitations to the Governor of Ogun State and Chairman of the Southern Governors’ Forum, Prince Dapo Abiodun, as he marks his 65th birthday and sixth year in office on May 29.
The President, in a tribute issued by his Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Mr. Bayo Onanuga, lauded Governor Abiodun’s transformative leadership and described his tenure as a symbol of sustained progress and innovation.
“Governor Abiodun’s administration has made significant gains across key sectors including infrastructure, education, youth empowerment, agriculture, food security, and social development,” the statement noted.
Commending Abiodun’s inclusive governance style, Tinubu said Ogun State has become a model of stability and growth, attracting substantial investments and consistently increasing its internally generated revenue.
“Your dedication to public service and the development of Nigeria is a cornerstone of our shared journey toward national renewal,” the President remarked.
Tinubu also acknowledged Governor Abiodun’s role as Chairman of the Southern Governors’ Forum, praising his efforts in promoting unity, dialogue, and coordinated regional development.
“As you celebrate this dual milestone, I join your family, friends, and the people of Ogun State in recognizing your enduring contributions and legacy of service,” the President said.
He concluded with heartfelt wishes for continued health, peace, and fulfillment in the years ahead.
