Abuja, Nigeria  —  President Bola Tinubu has extended warm birthday wishes to Alhaja Lateefat Olufunke Gbajabiamila as she marks her 95th birthday.

Describing her as a “revered leader, accomplished entrepreneur, and philanthropist,” Tinubu praised her lifelong contributions to Nigeria’s socio-political development and unwavering commitment to humanity.

Alhaja Gbajabiamila, mother of the President’s Chief of Staff, Right Honourable Femi Gbajabiamila, was lauded for her pioneering role in politics and service to the nation.

Highlighting her impact in governance, Tinubu recalled her tenure as the first elected female local government chairperson during the Lateef Jakande administration, describing her as “a formidable political force in Lagos and beyond.”

“When chronicling women who have left lasting marks on Nigeria’s socio-political landscape, Alhaja Gbajabiamila’s name will undoubtedly stand out,” the President remarked.

Expressing gratitude for her unwavering support and prayers, Tinubu prayed for her continued well-being.

“I ask God Almighty, whom she serves faithfully, to bless her with many more years filled with good health, joy, and laughter,” he stated.
