Tiktoker sentenced to prison over defamatory post against Eniola Badmus.

Popular Tiktoker, Okoye Blessing Nwakego, also known as Ego, who in July accused actress Eniola Badmus of connecting girls to top politicians in Nigeria has been sentenced to prison.

A Federal High Court in Lagos sentenced Ego to three years imprisonment with the option of a fine of N150,000 on Wednesday.

Justice Nicholas Oweibo convicted the Tiktoker after she pleaded guilty to a two-count charge of cyberstalking.

It was said that Ego and one Chimabia, now at large conspired to commit the offence between December 2022 and July 2023 in Lagos.

Meanwhile, Eniola Badmus has warned trolls making negative comments about her on social media to desist from such act.

In a post on her Instagram platform, she pointed out that trolls have continued to make defamatory statements that could damage her image as an actress, urging them to ”let people live their lives and respect them for it”.

The actress maintained that celebrities were humans too and do not deserve to be bullied online.
