Three Rescued from Abuja Building Collapse

The Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Police Command has confirmed the rescue of three individuals trapped in a building collapse at Unity House, Area 11, Garki, on Monday night.

In a statement, FCT Police Command spokesperson Josephine Adeh said officers responded swiftly to a distress call, deploying multiple patrol teams to the scene to cordon off the area and facilitate rescue operations.

A four-storey building attached to the Westbrook Hotel in Garki collapsed, trapping several people inside. Adeh reported that three victims were successfully rescued from the rubble and taken to the hospital for medical treatment.

The statement also noted that the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) and the FCT Development Control have been alerted and are now managing the site to ensure a thorough response.
