The Lagos State Police Command has made a significant breakthrough in combating kidnapping activities in the Ikorodu area with the arrest of three suspected kidnappers.
The arrest was announced in a statement by the Command’s Public Relations Officer, SP Benjamin Hundeyin, who disclosed that the suspects had attempted to kidnap a car dealer at Ebute-Igbogbo Road in Ikorodu before being apprehended.
The three suspects, whose ages range from 23 to 33 years old and whose names were not revealed, were taken into custody on Tuesday following the attempted kidnapping incident.
Efforts are currently underway to locate and apprehend two additional suspects who managed to escape during the raid.
The statement from the police spokesperson indicated that an investigation into the case has been initiated to gather more information and evidence related to the attempted kidnapping.
