The US and NATO confirm that Ukraine will use F-16 jets to protect itself from Russia.

The United States Secretary of State, Antony Blinken, announced on Wednesday that Ukraine will be receiving a batch of US-built F-16 fighter jets to help defend itself against Russian aggression.

Blinken revealed that the F-16s, acquired from Denmark and the Netherlands, will be deployed to ensure Ukraine’s ability to resist Russian incursions effectively.

This development was disclosed at the NATO summit in Washington DC, where global leaders reaffirmed their support for Kyiv in the face of ongoing hostilities.

The transfer of F-16 jets to Ukraine underscores the international community’s commitment to bolstering the country’s defense capabilities against Russian invasion.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has long advocated for the delivery of advanced Western aircraft to counter Russian military actions.

Despite initial concerns regarding the training timeline for Ukrainian personnel to operate these jets, President Joe Biden authorized the transfer of F-16s to Ukraine in August last year.
