Pollution is a familiar concept, known to all from basic science classes to various articles. Earth, our only proven haven for human survival, faces threats that continue to escalate.

Air Pollution and Environmental Threats
According to the United Nations Economic Commission for Europe, air pollution stands as the foremost global environmental peril, causing 7 million annual deaths. In addition to air pollution, plastic pollution poses a significant threat, disrupting both terrestrial and aquatic ecosystems due to the non-biodegradable nature of plastics.

Land Pollution and its Far-reaching Impact
Land pollution, often underestimated, contributes to irreversible damage. Food waste in landfills generates methane, responsible for 6 – 8% of greenhouse gases. Deforestation exacerbates the problem, as intentional clearing for agriculture and resource extraction leads to habitat loss and contributes to global warming.

The Urgency of Preservation
Preserving our planet is not merely a responsibility but an imperative. Practical steps, including awareness campaigns and energy conservation, play pivotal roles in salvaging our environment.
