Nigeria’s Super Falcons have retained their position in the latest FIFA women’s ranking released on Friday.
According to the ranking published on FIFA’s website, Nigeria holds the 36th position globally, remaining the top-ranked African nation.
Under the leadership of Randy Waldrum, the Super Falcons continue to dominate the African continent.
South Africa’s Banyana Banyana holds the second spot in Africa and is ranked 51st globally.
WAFCON 2022 finalists Morocco have dropped to 59th in the world but remain the third-best team in Africa.
Zambia achieved their highest global ranking, moving up to 64th and surpassing Ghana (5th in Africa, 65th globally) and Cameroon (6th in Africa, 68th globally). Rounding out Africa’s top ten are Cote d’Ivoire, Tunisia, Mali, and Equatorial Guinea.
